Recently USA enthusiasm for science is worth celebrating,but the opportunity is also thinking: in the excitement and support this new, scientists can do what? If AmericaCongress and the government continues to promotescientific research and education and Science in decision making, scientists must make more effort to show the role of science, scientific research and how to contribute to the country.

President Obama has affirmed the value of science, andmake a promise. He appointed a number of top scientistsas government positions. By executive order, he has overturned the ban on stem cell research, and asked theoffice of science and technology policy plan to ensure the scientific policy will not be distorted for political or ideological purposes. In addition, the federal economic stimulus plan for scientific research to provide a huge amount of funding. Recently in a House Appropriationstestimony, I witnessed many for science, scientists andscience educators goodwill.

However, Congress also need to be sustained, effectivecontact with science and scientists. Members of Congressalthough support science, but they also need to tackle the budget deficit, rising unemployment and other problems.Scientists must do more to prove that the investment value of science. The first duty of course is in the open and honest and ethical standards, make good research. In order to encourage the public and their representatives,scientists must be more exchanges with them, by the scientific community and individual personal style should be adopted.

These actions in the local operation is much more effectivethan in washington. For America National Institutes of health for more money to do a lot of work of former congressman John Porter once told me, his parliamentarycolleagues few have much time for science, but after visiting their local science laboratory, they all becomescience fanatic. Should scientists with Dean, President,Chancellor of the exchequer, alumni and press officer's influence, help them to communicate with local community and business leaders and members of congress. They should look for opportunities to invite the public to enter the laboratory, introduced their own students, and answer some questions, such as, what is the meaning of yourresults to the public? How do you study for the work of others? How do you for the students to create a goodresearch experience? Etc.. If you do not close contact,these positive effects of scientific research can not be see.

The Research Community Renaissance must also ensure that new science students' interest, such American science can maintain the leadership position in some areas, and become a powerful, reliable partner in many of the keyinternational research program. This means that science education should further improve all levels, including cooperation with the preparatory University and teacher,let more students to contact the real science and scientists. This interaction can enhance the occupation foryoung people.
